Household management is today’s version of homemaking.
I don’t really identify with the term “homemaker,” but home manager is a title I am comfortable with. My role is a far cry from the apron-wearing 1960′s housewife often portrayed as a traditional homemaker–yours may be too. Today’s homemaker really is more of a home manager, most often doing double-duty with paid employment outside the home.
You may think it unlikely that your home-related activities could be called homemaking. But if you manage a budget, manage family schedules, and attempt to keep things organized, you are, however unlikely, a modern-day homemaker–the CEO of your home.
